Spiritual Judgment Began May 21, 2011
Living in the Day of Judgment — Tract Series #1
The date May 21, 2011 was the most publicized date for the Day of Judgment that the world has ever seen. It was publicized on billboards, and advertised on buses. The message was seen on cars, bumper stickers, t-shirts, literature, magazines and newspapers. The news media all over the world also trumpeted the warning message of the gospel that that date would be JUDGMENT DAY!
And yet, (seemingly) nothing happened. There was no worldwide earthquake and awful circumstances. Many in the world, quite relieved, ridiculed the whole idea. However, what the world and the church failed to take into account was God's propensity towards bringing spiritual judgments to pass.
John 4:24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The First Judgment in Eden: A Spiritual Judgment
Genesis 2:16-17And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and yet they did not physically die in that day. Adam didn't die until he was 930 years of age. The answer comes once we look at the Bible with a view towards spiritual understanding. The death man died that day was not physical but a spiritual death:
Ephesians 2:1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.
Colossians 2:13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
Before they fell into sin man was alive in both body and soul, having communion with God. Once man sinned that spiritual connection was broken: he died that very day in his soul. Therefore the first major judgment recorded in the Bible was a spiritual judgment.
The Figure of a Cup
Psalm 11:6Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
Luke 21:34-35And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
On May 21, 2011, as the world rejoiced and exclaimed "nothing happened," at that very time God ensnared all of the unsaved people of the earth and began to give them the cup of His fury to drink.
Second Spiritual Judgment: Christ Drinks the Cup
Matthew 26:39,42And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Christ's drinking of the cup of the wrath of God in Gethsemane was not a physical judgment, but a spiritual judgment. Jesus suffered greatly due to His experiencing punishment in the spiritual realm.
Judgment Upon the New Testament Churches
1 Peter 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Jeremiah 25:29For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
Daniel 12:10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Summary
We've now examined three Biblical judgments — each entirely spiritual in nature. The judgment in Eden, God's judgment upon Christ in Gethsemane, and God's judgment upon the New Testament churches. Did God bring a spiritual judgment beginning on May 21, 2011? The Bible's response is: Yes!
Isaiah 24:17Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
We are all presently living in the Day of Judgment. This spiritual judgment will continue for a set number of days and then finally, on the very last day, God's wrath will physically manifest itself and utterly destroy this entire creation. The Bible reveals that every living person alive today has entered into the period of time the Bible identifies as Judgment Day.
No More Salvation
God Stopped Saving People on May 21, 2011 — Tract Series #2
Upon saving the last one of His elect, God ended the possibility of salvation for the unsaved people of the world by shutting the door of heaven on May 21, 2011. From that point forward, not one person anywhere in the world has become saved.
Revelation 22:10-11Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
God Is Sovereign Concerning Whom He Saves
Ephesians 1:4-5According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.
Revelation 13:8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Romans 9:11-13For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Romans 9:14-15What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
God Is Sovereign Concerning When He Saves
2 Corinthians 6:2For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
John 9:4I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Matthew 24:29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
The day of salvation ended on May 21, 2011. During this period of the latter rain (1994–2011), God saved a great multitude of people from every nation:
Revelation 7:9,13-14After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes… these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
God Shuts the Door of Heaven
Luke 13:24-25Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are.
Genesis 7:16And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.
The Bible ties together the flood of Noah's day and May 21, 2011, which came exactly 7000 years later (4990 BC + 2011 = 7000).
Revelation 3:7… he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth.
The Hope God Allows in the Day of Judgment
Q. Are you saying then, that there's no more hope for people to be saved?
A. God is no longer actively saving sinners. He has finished that work. The Bible indicates that each person's spiritual condition is now eternally fixed.
Luke 16:26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
During this time of judgment the only hope the Bible allows for is the hope that maybe God saved a person before He shut the door of heaven on May 21, 2011.
God Commands Us to Feed His Sheep
Q. This is very troubling information — if there is no hope for salvation, why are you sharing it with people?
A. God commands us to feed His sheep. The majority of those elect people that God saved during the Great Tribulation period are still alive on the earth in this time of judgment. Since we have no idea who these people are, we must share the Bible's teaching openly with all. The things we are sharing are true to God's Word, and it is the sharing of truth that spiritually nourishes and feeds the sheep of God.
Jeremiah 50:2Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken.

Second Spiritual Judgment: Christ Drinks the Cup

Christ's drinking of the cup of the wrath of God in Gethsemane was not a physical judgment, but a spiritual judgment. Jesus suffered greatly due to His experiencing punishment in the spiritual realm.
