1600 Days Concerning Zerubbabel's Temple
The resumed work on Zerubbabel's temple began in the 6th month, 24th day of the 2nd year of Darius:
Haggai 1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
The work was finished in the 12th month, 3rd day, in the 6th year of Darius:
Ezra 6:15 And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
This gives us the dates of: work resumed 6/24/2 (2nd year of Darius) & work finished 12/3/6 (6th year of Darius).
If we calculate the time between these two dates using 30 day months, we find that there is 1599 days from the time work resumed until the temple was finished.
4 x 360 (4 years) = 1440 days
5 x 30 (5 months) = 150 days
+ 9 days = 9
1440 + 150 + 9 =1599 days
If we count inclusively this gives us the figure of 1600 days. The number 1600 breaks down to 40 x 40.
Interestingly, we earlier found that from May 21, 2011 until about the time of Passover in 2033 is 8,000 days. 8,000 breaks down to 5 x 1600.
