A personal note:
You know, I think God has equipped me well for this particular time period. My childhood/teen years/early 20s was for the most part chaotic madness mixed with some moments of normalcy.
And what I find as an adult is that I am typically most comfortable under assault – when accusations about me being this or that are flung about. Or whatever harsh criticisms are made. The fact is, that kind words and loving emotions are far harder for me to deal with then all the negative things. I have a very high comfort level with the negatives. Not so much with good things. So yes, I do think the Lord has prepared me thoroughly for such a time as this.
2024.01.08 - God's Elect Are Not Afraid – to Proclaim a Date the Bible Reveals
After the date of May 21, 2011 apparently failed (not in actuality because God did bring to pass judgment on the world as He declared He would do) – the combined reaction of the world and the church was so intense in its ridicule and mockery, that a good number of ‘professed true believers’ immediately became fearful of the shame that was heaped upon them for ‘date setting’. And as a result, they immediately drew back from looking into things related to time and judgment. However, God’s elect children continued on in their search of the Scriptures regarding end time things, not because they are naturally strong or brave, but only because God did not give them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind.
Once we read the next verse in 2 Timothy 1:7 we’re able to see that the fear of man concerning the "testimony of our Lord" (i.e. the Bible) is indeed the very thing that God addresses when He says He has not given us a spirit of fear:
2 Timothy 1: 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
