Dates for Calendar Reference Patriarchs While in Egypt

Chris McCann

Once we understand that God used reference calendar patriarchs to span the length of time for the exodus (430 years), we realize that we find a few more dates in Biblical history to look at.

For instance:

Calendar patriarchs for Israel's time in Egypt

Levi spent 77 years in Egypt dying at the age of 137.

Kohath's life span is given as 133.

Amram's life span is given as 137.

Aaron was 83 at time of Exodus.

Total of above = 430 years for duration of Israel's stay in Egypt.

Dates for calendar reference patriarchs:

Israel entered Egypt in 1877 BC.

77 years later Levi died in 1800 BC. Upon his death Kohath born.

133 years later Kohath died in 1667 BC Upon death Amram born.

137 years later Amram died in 1530 BC. Upon death Aaron born.

Aaron was 83 years at Exodus in 1447 BC. Israel leaves Egypt.

So we have the dates 1800 (Levi died) & 1667 BC (Kohath died) & 1530 (Amram died). We already know about 1877 & 1447.

Interestingly, the year of Kohath's death and Amram's birth fits in well with the year 2033.

1667 BC + 2033 = 3700 (calendar) years.

The #37 in the Bible identifies with judgment.
