Just the Bible – Leave the Physical Things of the World to the World
Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Why is it that some people seem highly interested in sharing the gospel along the lines of racial issues? Or why are some highly interested in sharing the gospel along the lines of gender (women/men) issues? Why is it that some focus on particular characteristics of people of any kind?
I am a man but I do not feel that I am a champion of the gospel for men. And I am of a certain ethnic background but I feel no need to champion the gospel for that certain ethnic background.
Obviously God made us. But His concern is not in our physical make up (color, sex, height, weight, whatever). His concern and therefore the Bible's concern is always the HEART.
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
We are not to approach the Bible looking for women's issues. Or looking to advance the cause of my race, tribe, or tongue.
God's elect children share the gospel in order to advance God's kingdom. And God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom.
What a waste it is to concentrate on sex when soon there will no longer be male or female. What a waste it is to concentrate on color or any other physical attribute when soon there will no longer be any physical characteristics whatsoever of God's people because we will be transformed into completely new spiritual creatures (1 Corinthians 15:44).
Our focus is to be on the truth of the Bible. That's it. Leave the physical things of the world to the world.
