My Word Like a Fire!
You don't think it is Judgment Day because you don't see the fiery wrath of God anywhere –maybe you're looking for fire in the wrong place:
Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
God is Truth (John 14:6) and His Word is Truth (John 17:17).
God is fire (Heb. 12:29) and His Word is fire (Jer. 23:29).
Christ – 10,000 Saints and a Fiery Law!
Isaiah 30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
God's tongue is as a devouring fire. And His breath, as an overflowing stream – a stream of brimstone:
Isaiah 30:33 ... the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.
The breath of Jehovah. Where do we find the breath of Jehovah in this world? In the Bible, of course. The Bible is inspired (2 Tim. 3:16, All Scripture given by inspiration..."), and the Greek word translated as "inspiration" literally means, "God breathed". Therefore, all Scripture is God breathed.
And the breath of Jehovah does kindle it.
On May 21, 2011, God's breath (inspired Word) was kindled by Him to send forth fire and brimstone from its pages to all inhabitants of the earth.
The fiery wrath of God emanates from every word in the Bible. In these days of the world's final judgment, all Scripture is bringing forth the revelation of the righteous judgment of God (Romans 2:5).
And the saints are said to be judging the world (1 Cor. 6:2/Jude 14) because they share this fiery word with mankind.
Deuteronomy 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
Notice the reference to Jehovah coming from SINAI. Sinai identifies with the law of God. Again, it is the law (the Bible is a law book) that is doing the judging. Also, take note how this verse ties in with Christ's coming with the ten thousand saints in Jude 14 and other places. Only here we're told that from His right hand (Christ is the right hand of God, Christ is the Word of God) went a "fiery law" for them.
Where's the fire of Judgment Day? The answer the Bible gives is – in the Bible itself.
The Word Shall Judge
Do you see how these Scriptures (Jer. 23:29, Is. 30:27,28,30,33, Romans 2:5b, Deut. 33:3) tie in with this verse:
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
The Word that I have spoken – shall judge – in the last day.
Saints Execute Judgment with Two Edged Sword
Psalm 149:5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Remember, the Bible tells us that 10,000 saints come with Christ to judge the world. And Deut. 33:3 linked that coming with a fiery law.
In this Psalm, we are told that the saints have a TWO EDGED SWORD in their hand. The spiritual meaning of that is very clear. It is the Word of God:
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, ...
Further, we are told that the two edged sword will be used by them to "execute vengeance upon the heathen". The heathen are the nations of the world. Which means that God is spelling it out for us. Obviously this kind of judgment can only apply to the world's final judgment, and at that time the saints (the elect) will take up the Word of God (two edged sword) and with it execute judgments upon the unsaved of the nations. We now know what is in view by the following language in the epistle of Jude:
Jude 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
The saints judge the world with Christ by using their two edged sword to execute judgment upon the ungodly.
This is why the Lord concludes Psalm 149 with an incredible statement:
Psalm 149:9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints.
In case any thought we were off track regarding the two edged sword representing the Word of God – this final statement confirms it to us.
All the saints (10,000 pointing to the completeness of all the elect) have the honor of executing the judgment WRITTEN! Read it again: WRITTEN!
The Word of God, the Bible, is proclaiming the judgment of the world at this time. The wrath of God is being poured out on the pages of Scripture at this time.
All saints (elect) are called by God to proclaim these things and carry out the honorable duty assigned to them of judging the world with Christ.
No saint is left on the sidelines. All participate. If you're not on the side of Christ and His Word as the judgment written is executed upon the ungodly – then there's only one other possible location for you. It is on the side of the heathen experiencing the condemnation of God's fiery law.
Unfortunately, I think numbers of saints are unaware of this fact:
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
