On the Calendar

Chris McCann
Exodus 12:1,2

A man wrote in another Facebook group:

"according to the bible it will be still 2025 it says the month of april should be the first in the year"

McCann reply:

You're referring to the Hebrew calendar which is a lunar calendar (follows the moon’s cycles) and not the Gregorian calendar (which is a solar calendar that follows the earth's revolving around the sun).

Also, March/April is when the 1st Hebrew calendar month (called Abib or Nisan) begins – because God made it the first of their months at the time they came out of Egypt (Exodus 12:1,2).

In addition the Hebrew lunar calendar. And our solar Gregorian calendar there exists the celestial clock calendar (movements of the sun, moon, and stars) that God created at the beginning and said would be for signs, seasons, days, and years. And according to that Celestial clock calendar we are presently living in the year 2026.

All calendars attempt to sync themselves to the movements of the celestial calendar God created. Therefore the celestial calendar governs all other calendars.

So the Bible does NOT say this is the year 2025 AD. According to the Bible's perfect clock it is indeed the year 2026 AD. Overall since creation, which we can pinpoint precisely, here is the time of the world's history until now:

Creation of the world occurred in 11,013 BC.

Christ was born in 7 BC. Died/resurrected in 33 AD.

We presently are in 2026 AD. Therefore,

11,013 BC + 2026 AD = 13,039 years / however, we must subtract one due to there being no year zero = 13,038 years from creation.
