The Blood of All the Prophets Shed from the Foundation of the World

These verses:

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:

Help us to understand this verse:

Luke 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

The blood – or the life – of all the prophets is Christ. Christ was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).

Mankind is of "one blood"

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth,

So too are God's elect of one blood-the blood of Christ shed at the foundation of the world:

Luke 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
