The Fellowship of the Aggrieved

Chris McCann

When people start making their backward trek away from the truth – they'll begin to make other friends. Friends that have left the truth over these many years. And there tends to develop a fellowship of the aggrieved. Those who resisted God on the end of the Church Age teaching. Or who resisted God on the matter of knowing the day and hour. Or who have resisted God on Christ's atonement performed at the foundation of the world. Or those who resisted God on annihilation rather than eternal conscious suffering in a place called hell. Still more who resisted God regarding spiritual judgment upon the world on May 21, 2011. And on and on. And one can especially find lots of friends in the backward trek who deny God shut the door of heaven and that we are in the actual time of the wrath of God.

Given that these people have all failed at one point of doctrine or another – doctrine isn't the important thing for "fellowship" with one another. The important thing is that one be against the things E Bible Fellowship teaches. If you are against E Bible Fellowship, then you are extended welcoming hands as brother and sister.

Many of them have long been removed from E Bible Fellowship groups/pages/my page. Many unfriended. Others blocked. But as soon as they sense someone in opposition to E Bible Fellowship, suddenly there they are.

I can only speak from personal experience. And one thing people can't take from me is the fact that I have a whole lot of experience in dealing with the Bible's teachings and with people opposed to the Bible's teachings for several decades now.

So, based on my personal experience, I've noticed that when people draw back and go away from the things the Bible teaches (and that's what happens even though they couch it as going away from the things E Bible Fellowship teaches) – you can almost guarantee that their forward progress into the things of the Bible will stop. Also it is certain that this fellowship of the aggrieved will not band together and pool their resources and go forth with their "gospel" understanding. They will not organize tract trips. Or gather their funds to advertise or broadcast their gospel. How can they, when the glue that holds them together is being "anti" E Bible Fellowship. They have no true unity of doctrine or of gospel.

Finally, from my experience, these people will, however, be often sidetracked in the things of the world. And typically, when they go to the Bible to do Bible study, it will be in critical response to things that E Bible Fellowship is teaching.

You can pretty much count on it.
