Vowel Points are for Children

Chris McCann

On YouTube again and again, Israeli teachers of modern Hebrew refer to Nikkud (vowel points) as like training wheels for those who are beginning to learn the Hebrew language.

Training wheels are for children.

When God's elect come to the Bible to find the hidden things of God's Word, we remove the vowel points (take off the training wheels) in order to do a more thorough search for truth.

Given that God likens the Church Age as the time of being on the milk of the Word – and the unsealing of Scripture at the time of the end of graduating to strong meat – going back to training wheels (vowel points) is going the wrong way.
