What God's Elect Have in Common with the Atheist

Genesis 3:1Jeremiah 17:9John 8:44,45Matthew 7:13

Comment from Atheist:

"If you don't believe in The Muslim god..Then you are an Athiest, as far as Islamic belief goes.

If You don't believe in any Hindu gods..Then you are an Atheist as far as Hindu gods go..

If you don't believe in the Jewish god..Then you are an Atheist, as far as the Jewish god goes.

If you don't believe in Any of the Thousands of other gods than man has, and still do believe in..Then you are an Atheist, as far as all those gods go.

To say that "deep down I believe in the Word of the god of the bible"

Is just plain silly.

I could say to you...That deep down you believe in Allah, Posidon, Shiva, or any of the Thousands of other gods,..but I wouldn't say that to you..

Because I know how silly that sounds..and so should you.

Any Talk of Any Holy books..cannot be taken "seriously"..

Just as you don't take all those other gods and books...

" seriously ". ?

The bible..is just a book of Claims, and Stories, written for ignorant Illiterate, and gullible Bronze Age Peasants, who had no idea of how the World, Universe, or Cosmos worked.

If your god has a Serious message for anybody..

It should be able to make it clear, to the one thousand different denominations of the Christian faith alone.

Let alone the Thousands of other religions..

How could I possibly "defeat" your all powerful god,

And why would that god need you to defend It ?

It just plain...Silly."

EBF Response:

God's true elect people do have some things in common with the atheist.

We do reject as false and disbelieve all the gods of the world's religions. On a natural level it is somewhat understandable how a man can witness the sea of falsehoods that are practically everywhere and finally throw up his hands and say they're all wrong. As far as applying that to all religions (even Christianity today insofar as the corporate churches are concerned), he is correct.

But the atheist doesn't stop there. He proceeds to go a step further (a deadly step), and thereby concludes that there is no God and the Bible is not the Word of God.

Here we diverge. There most certainly is a God and the Bible is absolutely His Word.

If there is a God ,why all the false religions then?

For the same reason as in the beginning:

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

"Hath God said?" Satan has not changed his tactics at all. There is one truth. One right way of God. Therefore, the tactic is to multiply false ways and cause confusion and make man think:

"hath God said?" Which is it – Muslim? Jew? or Buddhist? Or Christian?

And given man's susceptibility to believe the lie over the truth (Jeremiah 17:9 / John 8:44,45), it becomes a very successful tactic actually.

Spread enough lies enough times and truth almost becomes lost. Or to use another expression, the more hay you spread the harder it becomes to find the needle. In this case the needle is the genuine truth and the super abundance of hay are the various lies that float around in the world.

Moreover, Satan is so adept at deceitful manipulation that he not only has countless people operating in religious circles (especially churches) to accomplish his purposes of confounding the poor souls (God's elect) scattered among the nations – but he also has multitudes of others operating in the secular area to notice the very lies he is spreading and to take advantage of them and highlight them to "prove" as it were to masses of others that in fact there is "no God". He is very wise in his evil schemes.

After all, as far the wicked one is concerned – it does not matter which lane one takes, whether it be a religious lane or a secular (atheistic) lane – just as long as all are on the same road that leads to destruction. He (Satan) is very liberal and generous in that regard. In the Scriptures below you can envision the narrow way to be that needle:

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
