40 Calendar Years/40 Jubilee Periods/40 Inclusive Years/The End
Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Yes, it’s true that the professed Christian (but not true Christian) will experience more stripes at the end than the worldly person.
We have learned much more about these "stripes". It so happens that God stipulates in Deuteronomy 25 that a judge may not sentence an evil doer to more than 40 stripes (Deuteronomy 25:1-3). Since God is under His own law, this means that God the righteous Judge must also place a limitation on judgment. That is, God cannot throw individuals into hell and punish them forever and ever without end or limitation. If He did, He would be violating His own law that says a judge is not to exceed 40 stripes.
Therefore the church's teaching on hell being a place of eternal punishment and conscious suffering is contrary to Biblical law and is completely false.
Interestingly, as God's people have learned more and more about the time of the end, we find that Christ's second coming officially began in 1994 with judgment on all the world's churches (1 Peter 4:17). This judgment continued exclusively on the corporate church until May 21, 2011, when the judgment on the church completed and God expanded it to include all unsaved inhabitants of the world. The unsaved in the churches were part of the world so their judgment continued on.
We've also learned that there is much Biblical evidence pointing to the year 2033 for the completion of the world's judgment and to bring to pass the end of all things.
Again, this time frame, beginning in 1994 and continuing to 2033, sets up an interesting scenario once we consider the number of years in view as stripes. We find that the unsaved in the churches will have received 40 inclusive stripes/years (1994 to 2033 = 40 inclusive/39 actual years), while the unsaved of the world outside of the churches receive of God's wrath for 23 inclusive/22 actual years (2011 to 2033).
Right away we see that the unsaved professed Christians in the churches receive more stripes (39/40) than the unsaved of the nations (22/23).
This becomes even more interesting as we realize that Jesus was born in 7 BC and died on the cross in 33 AD which is a period of 40 calendar years but 39 actual years (7 + 33 = 40 - 1 due to no year zero = 39).
That would mean that the timeline for Christ's second coming as Judge matches perfectly with His first coming as Savior. Both are periods of 39 actual years but 40 calendar/inclusive years.
Additionally, we marvel at the fact that the apostle Paul was sentenced by Israelite judges to 40 lashes/stripes on five different occasions. And because of the language of Deuteronomy 25, the judges required that only 39 be applied:
2 Corinthians 11:24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
The other outstanding similarity between Jesus' first coming and the time line we have learned for His second coming is that the starting year for both was a Jubilee year. Christ was born in the Jubilee year of 7 BC.
The Jubilee year comes every 50 years. So, again taking away one due to error in calendar of not including a year zero, we find that 7 BC + 44 AD = 51 - 1 = 50. This means that on the New Testament side of things every year ending in 44 or 94 was a Jubilee year:
44 AD/94 AD.
In each century until the 20th century, when: 1944 AD was a Jubilee year and 1994 AD was a Jubilee year.
1994 was exactly 2,000 years or 40 Jubilee periods since Christ's birth in the Jubilee year of 7 BC.
7 BC + 1994 = 2001 -1 = 2,000 years
40 x 50 = 2,000 years.
Jesus' first coming spanned 40 calendar years.
Then from His birth year (7 BC) to the beginning year for His second coming (1994 AD) was a period of 40 Jubilees.
And then from 1994 to 2033 is a period that spans 40 inclusive years.
It works out this way: 40 years – first coming/40 Jubilee periods till His second coming/40 years – second coming as Judge of church/world.
According to the Biblical evidence which lays out this scenario the unsaved professed Christians will not receive more than 40 stripes. And the unsaved of the nations far less than that.
Deuteronomy 25:1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.
