A Quick Report on EBF's Bible Conference

Chris McCann
Ephesians 2:8

By God's grace we had a wonderful time fellowshipping with God through His Word the Bible and with one another during our weekend Bible conference.

Attendees came from many states (PA, NJ, DE, MD, NY, CT, NC, IL, TX, & CA are ones I'm aware of) as well as 3 people from outside the states (Canada). Over the course of the 3 days I would estimate that there were more people in attendance this year than last year.

One woman (Karen B.) asked me if I remembered her from 20+ years ago when she came to Delco Fellowship in PA? I did remember her face but not her name. Karen told me she's been listening all these 20+ years since that time. And she came to conference because of all the troubling things going on in the world. She felt she had to be around God's people. Karen also reminded me of her son Ricky. Ricky has some severe disabilities but she said he always brightens up whenever she puts EBF on for him to listen to. It was a great encouragement to see Karen again and hear about Ricky's testimony. Ricky very well may be one of God's elect and one of the FR children as well as part of the great multitude that God saved out of the great tribulation.

I also met a man named Jacob S. Jacob resides in CA. But was in NC for business. He decided that NC was close enough to Millville, NJ (and the conference) to come join us. Jacob first began listening to FR in 1982. He listened all the way up until May 21, 2011. He said he visited Mr. Camping in his home after he had his stroke.

Jacob heard about EBF through FR (probably echoes but I didn't ask him) and soon started listening to EBF's programming. Jacob travelled back to NC to finish up his business and then said he would be returning to CA.

Over the weekend I was kind of marveling at all the abilities God has given to His people that were evident throughout the conference. The music was wonderful. I think all enjoyed the times we came together to sing beautiful and faithful hymns of the kingdom of God.

We also had tract reports given by several different presenters on 2 separate days. The reports included photos and video of domestic and international tract distribution. It was an encouragement to us all to keep sharing God's Word where ever you might be.

At the conclusion of the tract reports, Tony Shallash announced that he would be stepping down from the role of domestic tract coordinator. I want to thank Tony for all the good work he has done in service to the Lord as both foreign and domestic tract trip coordinator over the last 10 years or so.

Tony led EBF tract teams to nations all over the world. Spain. Netherlands. France. Belgium. Canada. Philippines. As well as many domestic trips across the U.S.

We thank the Lord for utilizing Tony to get out many hundreds of thousands of faithful Bible tracts that certainly accomplished God's purposes for those receiving them.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And of course, the teaching. 5 men taught 9 Bible studies over the course of the 3 day conference (3 studies per day). Along with Q & A each day. This helped us stay focused directly on God's Word, the Bible, through the whole time.

One man (Bob P.) said to me about the conference, "It was really a good conference. It was like one of FR's old conferences. People didn't want to leave."

May the Lord's perfect will be done.
