Commenting on EBF's video about the end a man who appears to believe this world will not end wrote:
"it is metaphorical language. Isaiah 9:6-7 shows that the Kingdom is eternal and ever-increasing. Ephesians 3:21 implies the same thing."
EBF reply:
Sinful men and this cursed world and creation must all be destroyed. They cannot and will not continue on forever.
God has allowed through His permissive will evil to occur and fester on earth only for the purpose of saving a people for Himself. We can account that God has very patiently put up with man's desperate wickedness solely for the reason of saving His elect:
2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;
Once the salvation of all to be saved (the elect) has been accomplished (and it was on the date of May 21, 2011) then God is no longer patient with mankind's sins-but begins to judge them.
This process is underway right now. Once completed (Biblical evidence points to 2033 for the year it completes) then the end of this creation will happen.
2 Peter 3:10-12 describes this end of all things very vividly:
2 Peter 3: 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
At the point of this world's end, God begins the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:1-5) wherein there will no longer be any sin, nor any evil of any kind, and as a result never again will there be death of any kind.
It is then that all will be well, once again, in all the vast kingdom of heaven. The rebellion of men will have been totally put down. And the great God and King Jesus Christ will reign wonderfully – and we (the elect) along with Him for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4,6). The number 1000 in the Bible points to the completeness of whatever is in view.
For example, in the Psalms we read that God owns the cattle upon a 1000 hills. Does God ONLY own cattle upon 1000 hills? Of course not, He owns all the cattle upon all the hills. The 1000 reference illustrates this.
So, the elect will live and reign with Christ for the completeness of eternity future. This is so because God's promise to His people is that we will live forever in the promised land. Not some contaminated (by the curse) land over in the middle east – that's not possible since that land, as well as all other land on earth, will burn and be destroyed by fire on the last day – no, not that land. But what that land has represented – which is the kingdom of God.
The future of the true elect children of God is super glorious. It is a future of being perfected in body as we receive a new resurrected spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44) and live forever in a new heaven and new earth as God dwells with us in our very presence.
There is no future on this earth. Here is temporal existence. And during that temporal existence there is sin. There is death. There is misery. There is sorrow. And there are tears.
Thank God His plan is to wipe away every tear. To do that, the cause for sin, death, misery, pain, sorrow, etc., must be removed out of existence. That is what 2 Peter 3:10-12 is describing.
