I Pray Not for the World
It is said that Jesus loves everyone, and yet He Himself said He does not pray for the world but He only prays for them which were given to Him:
John 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Again, Jesus does not pray for the world. But He prays for those people which were given Him. A clear distinction is made between two types of people. One group Christ does not pray for. And the other which He does pray for.
Jesus does not pray for the world and yet free will preachers tell us that Jesus loves everyone in the world. That's a contradiction. For if Jesus truly loved every human being in the world, He would pray for the world. But there is no contradiction because He does not love every person – He hates every sinner (Psalm 5:5) who remains in their sins, and therefore the fact that He does not pray for them is consistent with His hatred for them.
