Many Realize Something is Desperately Wrong with the World Yet Fail to Connect the Dots
We do not look to the world and then make doctrine to fit the things we see. But we do look to the Bible first and when we see a true teaching, such as the end of the Church Age and that all churches are apostate – we may then take that truth and look out at the world's churches to see how they measure up to it. And of course, when we do this we find the Bible is true and all the world's churches are corrupt and apostate thereby agreeing with the Scriptures teaching.
Likewise, we have learned from the Bible that we are presently living at the time of the world's final judgment. It is a spiritual judgment at this time. And the nature of the spiritual judgment of God is that the world will be publicly shamed and humiliated (mocked on the world stage for all to see) exactly as the corporate church was publicly shamed and humiliated in the eyes of the world. At this time all the world's institutions are being exposed as corrupt. The world's political system (obviously). And the world's educational system. The world's entertainment industry. And the world's sports industry. Again and again embarrassing (shameful) things are exposed about each of them that causes the public to distrust them all the more.
A prime example of this is the world's mouthpiece, the news media. In time past the news media was highly respected and trusted. And it was the news media, that mouthpiece of the world, that publicly ridiculed and delightfully mocked those who called themselves by God's name (Christians in the churches) during the 23 years of the Great Tribulation period. They would often gleefully highlight the sins of a pastor or congregation over the airwaves during that terrible period of time for the corporate church. But now, God has turned the tables upon them. Now it is the world's mouthpiece, the news media itself, that is the subject of ridicule and mockery.
There will be those who do not see the judgment on the world. Just as there were many who failed to see God's judgment on the corporate church. That's just how things are. But though many fail to connect the dots, they realize something is desperately wrong with their world. A worldwide plague occurred that basically shut everything down for about two full years. And even before then, and now after, various internal and external troubles are afflicting nation after nation.
The one constant we are seeing is division. This is because Satan's kingdom of this world (the nations) has been divided:
Mark 3:24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
And division of the world's people is a characteristic of Judgment Day:
2 Chronicles 20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.
The enemies of God, once united in their opposition against God and His people, wind up killing each other in this historical battle that typifies the world's final judgment.
