Paul’s Fellowship Group in Rome
Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
The spiritual context wherein Paul rented his own house to preach to all is the time after the Church Age. Which means, that in these Scriptures we find God's allowance for preaching the gospel among a gathering of people once the Church Age has ended. Two years Paul preached in his own hired house after he left Israel (type of the church) and dwelt in Rome (the world). We could also say, that Paul (pattern of the elect believers) preached to those gathered together (elect and others) for two whole years after the shipwreck (end of the Church Age).
Therefore, as we have known all along, those holier than God individuals who insist that any gathering of believers in a fellowship group makes them a church-is completely false. Paul's own hired house was not a church. It was simply a house he rented in order to share the Word of God with others while he lived outside the nation of Israel (church) in the city of Rome (world).
