Some of the friends you’re making are no friends of God

Chris McCann
Job 1:21

Some of the friends you're making – are no friends of God nor friends of the truth that the Bible has graciously opened up to His elect people at the time of the end.

I've dealt with these very same people for years (in some cases decades). You can share Scripture proofs with them but they have no ears to hear them. They evidence no love for the truth. They deny the things the Lord has opened up. They are only lurking about (EBF circles) in order to find followers for their own doctrines and gospels.

But as often is the case – people have to find out for themselves.

2026.01.17 - A man in another Facebook group writes:

"something good happens, they say, "thank God". But where is he when something bad happens?"

McCann reply:

You might want to read the book of Job before speaking on this topic.

Job lost all of his riches. He was the richest man in the east at the time.

Job lost all 10 of his children at once. No one has experienced such grief as that.

Job then was afflicted head to toe with sore boils.

And then Job became an atheist and criticized God and mocked God the rest of his life. Ah no. God kept him from that horrible response.

Instead this is what Job said through the brokenness none of us have come anywhere near:

Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

You may continue with your foolish charging of God. Without which this group would not exist.

I just wanted to give you a glimpse into the hearts of true men (such as Job) who serves God through the bad as well as the good.
