Spiritual Understanding of "The Head of the Woman is the Man"
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man (#435); and the head of Christ is God.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
The "head" of the woman is the man (#435). The Greek word aneer (#435) is also translated as "husband" in:
Matthew 1:19 Then Joseph her husband (#435), being a just man, ...
Mark 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband (#435), and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
John 4:16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband (#435), and come hither.
Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband (#435) is bound by the law to her husband (#435) so long as he liveth; but if the husband (#435) be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband (#435).
Returning to 1 Corinthians 11:3 and the statement, the "head of the woman is the man (#435)"-we can understand this to mean: "the head of the woman is the husband". And spiritually, the husband identifies with the law of God in its marriage to mankind (as the woman would represents all those under, or married to the law of God).
