The Armies (Saints) in Heaven Follow the Bible in Battle of Judgment Day

Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

The armies in heaven follow the "Word" in the battle of Judgment Day.

Who are these armies in heaven?

Revelation 19:14 itself reveals their identity. The armies in heaven are "clothed in fine linen, white and clean".

Where have we heard that before? We saw it earlier in this same chapter. God described the bridal gown, we could say, of the bride of Christ as being clothed in that identical clothing:

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:

Moreover, God relates this clean and white fine linen clothing to the saints:

Revelation 19:8b "...for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints."

So, once again we can conclude that the armies in heaven, are none other than the saints (the elect) of God. And since the context of Revelation 19 shows the saints following the Word (Christ/the Bible) clearly at the time of God's judgment on the world-we can gather that these Scriptures in Revelation 19 are also a commentary on 1 Corinthians 6:2's statement that the saints will judge the world.

Fine linen, clean and white (which is the righteousness of saints) links together the outpouring of the 7 vials full of the wrath of God by the 7 angels (Revelation 15:6,7) and the armies in heaven following the Word into the battle of Judgment Day (Revelation 19:13-15) along with the saints declared by God to judge the world (1 Corinthians 6:2).

These saints are the 10,000s of saints (completeness of the elect) who all come with Christ on the Day of Judgment (May 21, 2011) in the sense that it was the completion of God's salvation program that finally permitted Him to act with vengeance and wrath upon the unsaved inhabitants of the world:

Jude 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
