What makes 2033 such a good candidate for the world's end and the completion of all of God's promises to His elect people is that there is much Biblical evidence pointing to that year that has been proven true with other major Biblical events.

For example, the Biblical calendar of history (derived from the Bible itself) established creation in the year 11,013 BC.

From there we are able to accurately date Noah's 600th year (the year the flood came) as 4990 BC.

Therefore, the time line for the first earth which was destroyed by the flood is 11,013 BC - 4990 BC = 6,023 years.

Next, if we go from the flood date (4990 BC) to the year 33 AD when Jesus was crucified and also resurrected we find the similar pattern:

4990 BC + 33 AD = 5,023 calendar years

In this pattern we see that God waits until the fullness of thousands of years is reached and then adds 23 years (a tribulation period) before the major event occurs (and other than the end of the world, you cannot find anything more major than the flood, and Jesus hanging on the cross).

So, once again, if we start with the flood date 4990 BC and go to the year 2033 we find:

4990 BC + 2033 = 7023 calendar years

The same year that is exactly 2,000 years from the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ is also part of another pattern wherein the fullness of thousands of years is reached – then a 23 year tribulation is added till the time the event is brought to pass.
