The Church is on Its Own – God is NOT Protecting It

During the Church Age, Christ was in the midst of the candlesticks shining as the Light within. The world responded to the church that possessed Christ Spirit within it – in varying degrees of respect and honor. There was a sense it was indeed a holy place.

Since God has ended the Church Age – Christ is no longer within. God turned the corporate church (all churches) over to Satan who as the abomination of desolation stood in the holy place (Matthew 24:15).

The world took note of the Spirit of Christ's absence. How did they take note? By simply coming against the church as they always had done – but in the past God often warded off their attacks. But at the time of the church's end, they found that their attacks were very successful. They were winning. This made them become bolder and bolder against the church – until our day when there are church shootings, church fires, and all kinds of other assaults. Churches were even shut down by governments during Covid.

What has become obvious over these years is that the Spirit of God is not protecting the churches. They are weak – lacking the power of God's defense on their behalf. God is not defending them because He is the One who has brought His judgment on them (1 Peter 4:17). They are no longer His representatives on the earth. The churches of the world are on their own.

One reason (of many) why God commanded His people to leave the churches – and worship Him outside the church in their homes.
