There's No Difference Today Between Entering a Bar & Entering a Church

Chris McCann
Isaiah 29:9

A man wrote in a Facebook group:

"It's better to be sitting in a bar and thinking about God... than to be sitting in a church and thinking about beer."

McCann reply:

By God's grace, I've been done with bars a long time ago. Just like, by God's grace, I've been done with churches for 25 years.

God ended the Church Age and brought judgment on all the world's churches.

Why? Because they all teach false gospels today. And incidentally, the Bible likens false gospels to "strong drink":

Isaiah 29:9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed ...

So, the fact is, that on a spiritual level, there is no difference between entering a bar today and entering a church.

The place to go to meet with God is to your comfy chair. Sit. And open the Bible. Then listen to the your Maker speak directly to you by every word that you read.

Once done reading you're done listening to the voice of God. Then put the Bible down. And speak to Him in prayer.

That is how a sinner is able to communicate with the God of the Bible. The same God who says

He is no respecter of persons. No one above another. He'll hear us as readily as He heard Moses, or David, etc.
