True Believers Going in Backward Direction?

Chris McCann
Revelation 21:24

Comment:

"Teaching that true believers can go in a backward direction away from the truths - is a red flag because it decreases God and increases man's work of the law:"

Response:

I do not teach that true believers can go in a backwards direction away from truth – what I teach is that people who think and claim to be "true believers" have gone in a backwards direction away from truth – because their claim of being a true believer was a false claim.

Yes, the great commission has been fulfilled. Go ye to all nations and teach & baptize them. Were all the nations of the world taught and baptized? No. Actually, many within the nations were not taught and were not baptized. If we were to understand this statement literally, then the great commission would have been a horrible failure.

But it was not a horrible failure. The great commission was perfectly fulfilled. All nations were taught and baptized. That is, all the nations of them which are saved:

Revelation 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it:

These were the nations which the Gospel was sent to. Just as Jesus said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. We, too, were sent with the Gospel to the nations – the nations of them which are saved. All the elect. And because they were saved, they were also baptized by the Holy Spirit. All taught in salvation and baptized in salvation. And it happened by the date of May 21, 2011. Thus the great commission was fulfilled.
