Whosoever Marries a Divorced Woman Commits Adultery
If, as churches say, God allows for divorce and remarriage, then why did Jesus say this:
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Here we have a man who put away (divorced) his wife. Since she's divorced and therefore free to remarry (according to the church) then why would anyone marrying her be committing adultery?
The only way marrying a woman can be considered adultery is if the woman is still married to her first husband. Which means she's not free at all. She is still bound in marriage to her first husband.
Why, of course she is still married to her first husband. Only death breaks the bind of marriage:
Romans 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
The church often points its finger at society and blames all the evil out there on the ungodly of the world. But a major part of that wickedness had its origins in the congregations as they are the ones that shoulder the blame for the ruination of the marriage relationship. They are the ones that opened up Pandora's box and allowed the marriage institution to be trampled under feet to the degree it has today. They did this by allowing, reluctantly of course, but allowing the edge of the wedge to take hold with the so-called exception clause. Then down came the hammer blow. And that opened the door for all that has followed.
