You Say, "I'm on the Lord's Side"- But Why Then Do You Take Sides in the World's Self-Destructive Battles?

2 Chronicles 20:22

2 Chronicles 20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

This historical account is God revealing a critical truth about the battle of Judgment Day.

Three armies marched against Judah (kingdom of God). It didn't matter which side you were on. An Ammonite, or a Moabite. Or an inhabitant of mount Seir. As all sides died in the battle.

Neither does it matter in our day which "side" you pick to be on. The left will die. The right will die. The centrists will die. All die who oppose God in the battle of Judgment Day.

Oh, but you say, I'm on God's side. I'm not on the world's side in any way.

Alright, then why are you taking the conservative side on this issue and that issue? Or why are you taking the liberal side on this issue and that issue? Or why are you taking some other side on this issue or that issue? Your taking of sides is betraying you. It is revealing that you are caught up with the things of the world at a time when God commands, "Come out of her My people".

God's elect people are on Christ's (the Bible's) side. As Israel necessarily had to follow the narrow path of the Red sea during the crossing – they could not go left, nor right, nor turn back as the Egyptians (the world) was behind – so too do God's elect people follow the Bible (Moses/Christ) until we safely cross to the other side.
