Calendar Years Have Strong Biblical Precedent

YouTube comment on post mentioning that from the flood in 4990 BC to the year 2033 AD is 7023 calendar years:

"Okay, you minus one for 4990 BC to 11 AD for 5000. You minus one for 7000 yrs. Then you don't minus one going from 7 BC to 33 AD to force a 17+23=40 theory with inclusive. To calculate the time difference between BC and AD dates, you need to: Add the two dates together. Subtract one. That's all – you have your result 7 BC to 33 AD is 39 not 40. Ebible Chris has lots of true info. I wouldn't be dogmatic about 2033."

EBF reply:

The flood date of 4990 BC to the cross 33 AD in actual years: 4990 + 33 = 5023. Now minus 1 due to no year zero = 5,022 years. 5,022 years isn't the pattern God has established with the flood date from creation (11,013 BC to 4990 BC = 6,023 years).

Yet the cross is a major event. And it is a fact that from the flood there are 5,023 calendar years. It is obvious that the Lord wants us to realize this significant time path.

You reference Mr. Camping not doing this. That is not true. You have not read his books very carefully to say that. He has pointed out that the Lord set up this situation by allowing the calendar makers to make the error of not having a year zero. And that God has used it to multiply His ability to point to key Biblical dates.

The fact that there are 5,023 calendar years from the flood to the cross establishes precedent that calendar dates are just as valid as actual dates. This is so because the Lord Jesus did indeed die and then resurrect on the cross 5,023 calendar years from the flood. 5,023 actual years takes us to 34 AD wherein nothing of note took place.

And since the cross sets the precedent for this, we have full Biblical authority to say that from the flood date in 4990 BC to the year 2033 – which is 7,023 calendar years – very well may indeed be the end of the world and the fulfillment of a similar time path as the one that went from the flood to the cross.

1 Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Without a word – this woman prophesied to her husband by her conversation (conduct).

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

A good conversation in Christ is having a good witness.
