Elect Watchmen Looked for-Over Against Blind Watchmen of the Church

2 Peter 3:11Isaiah 56:10

2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Oh yes, says the church, by all means look for Christ's coming. Remember, though, whatever you do – don't dare find out any information that might indicate the timing of His coming. But go on, go on. Get up in your watchtower and keep lookout so when He comes you can make sure to NOT blow the trumpet to warn the people. No wonder God mocks the church's watchmen as blind, ignorant, and as dumb dogs that cannot bark:

Isaiah 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

The church's doctrine of "no man knows" put blinders upon their watchmen's eyes to make him blind. And stopped his mouth as a muzzle upon a dog to make him dumb and unable to bark warning.

But God's elect obeyed the commanded to 'look for and haste' unto the coming day of God. The warning trumpet blown by the elect was heard the world over leading up to May 21, 2011.
