To Have a Valid Argument You MUST Answer!
YouTube visitor insisting the Bible doesn't teach the Trinity:
"God's word itself supports no Trinity."
EBF reply:
You're making assertions. Multitudes of people make assertions about all kinds of things. And multitudes of people are constantly wrong in their assertions. Your assertion is your own private understanding. Private understanding the Bible forbids:
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
To have a valid argument you must answer what the Bible means when it uses the plural for God (let us/in our image) in the Genesis account. You must answer why a plural word (Elohim) is used hundreds of times for the God of the Bible and yet translated in the singular as God.
You must answer why the child is to be called the Everlasting Father.
You must answer how is it that God is said to have a Father.
You must answer why the Son is called God.
You must answer how the Word is God and yet became flesh.
You must answer in what way was God manifest in the flesh.
You must answer if Jesus is somehow less than God than how is He equal to Him?
You must answer how it could be possible for Jesus and the Father to be One?
And this is just the start. There are literally hundreds of verses declaring Jesus is the God of the Bible. The Bible is dripping with Scripture references on this point.
If you can't answer, and I know you can't, then humble yourself before this particular truth of the Word of God and submit to it. Like all God's saints must do.
