God First Saved His People – Then Brought Judgment

Chris McCann
2 Peter 3:15James 5:7

Once God shut the door of the ark was anyone else saved? No.

Once Lot stepped foot into Zoar were any others in Sodom & Gomorrah and the other two cities of the plain spared? No.

The Biblical principle is that God saves-is merciful up until the time of His judgment. During the time leading to the judgment God is longsuffering and gracious in saving His people:

2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;

James 5:7 ...Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

God is longsuffering for the purpose of salvation. Once all to be saved have been saved, He ceases to be longsuffering and carries out His judgment.

Salvation, therefore, can not take place during the time of Judgment Day (our present time period). Ongoing salvation in time of judgment is unBiblical.
