In That Day – Living Waters Go Out and the Lord Is King Over All the Earth!

Zechariah 14:8John 7:37John 12:48John 6:44

Zechariah 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

In what day could it be that the "living waters" are going out from Jerusalem? We see that it is time when Jesus is "King over all the earth"! The only time that happens is in the time of the world's final judgment-in the last day:

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

It's curious how Jesus linked the last day (a phrase the Bible definitely ties in with Judgment Day itself, cf. John 12:48) with a reference to coming to Him (John 6:44 no man can come except the Father which sent Me draw him) and to the flow of "living waters" once again.

What could God be telling us?
