Scriptures that Speak of Living Waters in the Day of Judgment

Living Waters Bring Life to the Living

Ezekiel 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Waters come forth from the spiritual house of God (Ezekiel's temple was never literally built but is a spiritual temple). These waters bring life (and therefore are living waters) to everything that lives! Not to the dead but to those already alive. Fits the idea of feeding/giving drink to elect sheep already saved. Also, mention of a great multitude of fish ties in with the great catch of fish in John 21.

Living Waters at the Time When Jehovah is King Over the Earth

Zechariah 14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

Living waters go out from Jerusalem (the city of God's elect) in that day. Since Jesus is said to be "King over all the earth," it agrees with Christ's coming in judgment on May 21, 2011, and taking over all rule from Satan over the earth.

In the Last Day – Flow Living Waters Out of His Belly

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The phrase “last day” is used repeatedly regarding Judgment Day (John 6:44, John 12:48, etc.) Therefore, we can understand Christ's declaration that if any man thirst – to come (be drawn) to Him, as taking place in the Day of Judgment. Interesting that "living waters" are again in view in the context of the world's final judgment.

The Lamb Shall Lead Them Unto Living Fountains of Waters

Revelation 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

In this very unusual passage – we find the great multitude have been saved (washed their robes made white in blood of the Lamb) and they are said to NOT hunger or thirst any more – which points to obtaining Christ's righteousness in salvation and no longer hungering and thirsting after righteousness. Yet, we are also told that the Lamb shall feed them, and shall lead them unto LIVING FOUNTAINS OF WATERS.

But how? And why? Why feed those who no longer hunger. And why give living fountains of waters to those who no longer thirst?

Strange, isn't it?

Yes, it is strange – until we begin to understand the facts the Bible has laid out before us since May 21, 2011. Then it is no longer strange and hard to understand but very understandable.

The Bible teaches us that after the great multitude has been saved out of the Great Tribulation period – it is God's plan to feed His sheep (John 21:14-17). And to give living waters is spiritually akin to feeding sheep.

Will You Check These Things Out? I Hope So

For former FR/EBF listeners: does it not strike you as strange that God speaks of living waters going forth in the context of Judgment Day (Zechariah 14) and in relationship to Christ speaking of the last day – which also identifies with Judgment Day (John 7:37) – and in the context of the great multitude which has already come out of the Great Tribulation (and after the tribulation comes Judgment Day), and already experienced salvation – yet they too will be lead to living fountains of waters (Revelation 7:13-17). Odd, isn't it?

And perhaps even odder is the language of Ezekiel 47:9 which tells us that where the waters come everything that liveth will live! Think about that. Wasn't the Gospel sent forth in the Day of Salvation designed by God to send forth living water so that the DEAD might live? What in the world then is this statement that the water brings life to the living?

Former FR/EBF listeners: will you check these things out? I hope so.
