Jesus Was, and Is, and Always Will be Eternal God

Isaiah 9:6Matthew 1:23John 1:1John 1:14John 20:27John 20:29Luke 12:8

Here's a handful of verses (among hundreds that could be offered) that teach the beautiful and wonderful truth that Jesus Christ was, and is, and always will be eternal God:

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: ...his name shall be called...The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The child's name is called: THE MIGHTY GOD!

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The child (Jesus) is to be called EMMANUEL--which literally means: God with us. Think about that.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

In a matter of fact statement the Bible says "the Word was God," and then a few verses later it says:

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The Word was made flesh. The meaning is obvious.

Who is the Word? The Word is God. And what happened to the Word? He was made flesh. That is, God became man. Can the Bible be any clearer?

John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Thomas doubted Christ's deity like many others. Yet there was no more doubting once Jesus appeared to Him after the resurrection. Upon seeing Him, he correctly exclaimed, "My Lord and my God".

If Jesus were anything less than God in the flesh. If Jesus were not truly Jehovah in the flesh---than He should have corrected Thomas and told him not to say such things regarding Himself. After all God is a jealous God and will not share His glory with another. But Jesus did NOT rebuke Thomas. Instead He said to him:

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesus blessed Thomas for believing! Believing what? For believing that Jesus was God in the flesh.

How sad it is, that people have taken upon themselves the name of Jehovah and call themselves His witnesses and then deny Him His glory of appearing in the flesh. How sad and tragic because He will deny knowing them and deny them entry into the kingdom of heaven:

Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
