Removing Leaven Points to Removing Sinful Doctrines

Remove the leaven from your lump and make a new lump. Leaven in the below verses identifies with sinful doctrine. Removing leaven from the lump indicates removing sinful doctrines from among you thereby making a new lump of unleavened bread (pure doctrine). God did this at the end of the Church Age when He commanded His people to depart from the churches in order to receive the new doctrinal understandings being brought forth from the Word of God at the time of the end.

Matthew 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Leaving the Church Ties in with Fulfilling Spiritual Meaning of the Feast of Unleavened bread (Passover)

1 Corinthians 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

After delivering the flesh (all the natural minded professed Christians in the churches who walk in flesh) to Satan for its destruction – in order that the spirit (all those elect who walk in the spirit) may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus – we then are told to remove the leaven (doctrine) in order to make a new lump (new doctrine):

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

We can see how this worked. God saw the sin within the church (the lump of bread was leavened). And so purged it by judging it (the church) and commanding His people to come out of the churches in order that they receive the progressive revelation coming forth from His Word and become a totally new lump (pure and right doctrine).

This, we can say, is the spiritual fulfillment of keeping the feast of unleavened bread. As well as the spiritual fulfillment (as far as the elect body of Christ is concerned) in keeping the passover feast, as the feast of unleavened bread is said to be the passover.

Once all of God's people had left the corporate church, it could then be said that the lump (all the elect – see Romans 9:21) was totally without leaven, and had become a new lump.

Therefore, it was after the Great Tribulation period had ended (May 21, 2011) that the leaven (sinful doctrine) had finally been removed from the lump. And that the lump was now made new and pure, full of sincerity and truth.

So, the spiritual fulfillment of the feast of unleavened bread was underway. And again, the feast of unleavened bread is the same as the Passover.

Passover Lamb slain on 14th day of 1st month

Exodus 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Unleavened Bread to be eaten from 14th day of 1st month

Exodus 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

This means that on the date of May 21, 2011, which was the day that God began to judge the world for its sin, it can be said that the spiritual fulfillment of the Passover/Unleavened bread also began.

Why is that significant?

Because the Passover feast was the time the children of Israel were in the midst of a terrible judgment of God. The Lord sent the destroyer though Egypt (a figure of the world) to kill all the firstborn (Adam, or mankind is the firstborn) and the Israelites were all there (God's elect left on the earth to go through the final judgment process).

The people of God (children of Israel) had to go through the long night of death. Their only protection was the lamb's blood applied to their doorposts. Just as the elect are now experiencing the thick darkness of Judgment Day with our only protection being the blood of Christ shed from the foundation of the world and applied to our souls through the hearing of the Gospel during the Day of Salvation.

We can now see how the prolonged day of judgment can be likened to the Passover (unleavened bread). Which gives additional significance to the 8,000-day timeline from May 21, 2011 until the feast of Passover in the year 2033.

Luke 22:1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
