Women teaching
If a woman is not to teach nor usurp authority over the man, as the Bible clearly states (1 Timothy 2:11-14) – then why are there several verses that seem to indicate otherwise?
The answer is – because that's how God wrote the Bible.
Are there not certain Scriptures that seem to teach free will? Yes, there are ("If thou shalt confess with thy mouth...thou shalt be saved," Romans 10:9).
Are there not certain Scriptures that seem to teach that tongues are good and proper for today? Yes, there are (I would that ye all spake with tongues, 1 Corinthians 14:5).
Are there not Scriptures that indicate hell is a place of conscious suffering? Yes, there are (Luke 16:20-26).
The reality is that the Bible was written in such a way that every true and right and faithful doctrine of Scripture can be tossed aside in favor of a few verses that appear to teach contrary to that doctrine.
This is why harmonization of all the Bible is a necessity for arriving at truth.
