Psalm 119 is the Biblical Proof that Vowel Points are Not Part of the Hebrew Alphabet

Psalm 119Deuteronomy 1:17

Friend's comment: "I reckon we aren't familiar with how to use Strong's- so how do we decipher a consonant from a vowel? The 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet- they do not contain vowels, correct?"

My response:

You just put your finger on the answer to this whole question. The vowel points are not in the Hebrew alphabet. They are not therefore letters. Psalm 119 is the Scriptural proof that vowel points are not letters and it is letters that make up words.

In other words, if vowel points were inspired letters, God would have inserted sections in Psalm 119 about them. But He did not. Therefore they are not letters. And since they are not letters, they do not make up words.

From Chris:

A major problem within the churches was that the pastor was a nice guy that many in the congregation truly liked. And so, when the pastor taught an error in doctrine (or two), the people of the congregation tended to let it go. Why offend him over such a little thing. This was part of God's test for the congregation. And they failed it.

Deuteronomy 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment;

When it comes to the Bible we do not hold back from the truth in anyway due to personal feelings about someone. We always must seek right judgment as our highest priority above all.
