The Bible tells us that the "House of God" is the Church:

The Bible tells us that the "house of God" is the church:

1 Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

And since the house of God is referring to the church-this helps us to understand this Scripture:

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:

Judgment begins at the house of God (the corporate church). This is the first tribulation/judgment the

Bible calls the Great Tribulation.

The second tribulation/judgment quickly follows:

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Judgment that begins with us (the church) compared to another group of people with a question that implies future judgment upon them as well (them that obey not the gospel of God).
