The Irony of Teaching That There Are Not to be Teachers Any Longer

Chris McCann
Hebrews 8:11

You do recognize the irony of teaching that there are not to be teachers, don't you?

Besides contradicting your own doctrine by teaching that none are to teach – you are also teaching incorrectly.

When Hebrews 8:11 says they shall not teach every man his brother saying, know the Lord – for all shall know Me, it is telling us that the great commission (Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father...) has been fulfilled. That is, all the nations of the elect were taught and baptized (saved by the Spirit). Therefore, Hebrews 8:11 is saying that since all who were to be taught have been taught (become saved), there's no further need to teach them (evangelize unto salvation) because they now "know the Lord" (have experienced God's salvation). This is the proper understanding of Hebrews 8:11.
