The Saints Execute the Judgment Written
Jude 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
Notice that in the verses above we're told that Christ (the Word) comes with 10,000s of His saints to "execute judgment upon all".
Of course, Christ will execute judgment. But it also indicates that the saints will likewise execute judgment upon all the wicked people of the world. How will that be carried out? In what way will the saints execute judgment?
Psalm 149 answers these questions for us:
Psalm 149:5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
We find that the saints are mentioned in verses 5 and 9 above. The saints are the ones who are to have a "two edged sword in their hands". This is a reference to the Word of God:
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, ...
The Word of God in the hands of the saints matches what we found in Revelation 19:13-15 regarding the armies in heaven (saints) who follow the Word into the battle of Judgment Day.
We also read in Psalm 149:7 that the saints will execute vengeance and punishments upon the people – just as Jude 15 stated; and Psalm 149:9 further stresses that the saints will "execute upon them the judgment written". Again, notice the emphasis upon the Word. Obviously the judgment written is speaking of the judgment of God as recorded in the written Word of God, the Bible.
Lastly, we are told that "this honor have all His saints". All the saints. The completeness of the saints (elect). All 10,000s of them.
Know ye not that the saints will judge the world?
