They Do Not Realize They Are Living On Earth At Its Conclusion

Ecclesiastes 3:1Ecclesiastes 8:5

God reveals to us that all things that are done are done according to time and seasons:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Why does God tell us that Israel was in the land of Egypt for 430 years to the very day? He tells us this to impress upon us the significance of time and to be aware when its season of fulfillment comes to pass. It is through understanding time that we have been able to fine tune and more accurately understand the Bible’s teachings.

The people of the world, and the people within the churches (which today are the same as the people of the world) walk around largely in ignorance of where they are in history. They think that things will go on indefinitely like they’ve always gone on. They believe this generation, although admittedly wicked, is just like other generations of the past and will give way to future generations to come. This is because God has withheld spiritual sight from them. They lack understanding of God’s program of times and seasons. And as a result do not realize that they are living on the furthest extent of history. They do not know that they are living on the earth at its conclusion. But God’s people know this. We’re fully aware, by God’s grace, of both time and judgment.

Ecclesiastes 8:5 Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment.

6 Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him.

7 For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?
