None Witnessed Adam's Sleep Just as None Witnessed Christ's Death at the Foundation of the World

Adam, a figure of Him that was to come (Christ) experienced a deep sleep in order for God to take a rib and make the woman who would be his wife:

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

This deep sleep spiritually pictured Christ's death from whichh the spiritual bride of Christ (the elect) would be made:

Psalm 13:3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

When Adam experienced this 'sleep' or death, who else was there with him?

The answer is no person was with him. He was the only man alive. The only human being in existence on the face of the earth.

Through this historical parable we can see the picture God is drawing of the Lord Jesus Christ alone and no man with Him:

Isaiah 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me:

It's hard to see the similarity between Adam's isolation as the only living creature alive on the earth and Jesus Christ's experience in 33 AD. In 33 AD there was an entire world of people in existence. Instead of 33 AD, the more parallel situation would be Jesus Christ's death at the foundation of the world. At that point there was only Jesus Christ. Human beings had not yet been created (just as the rest of mankind had not yet been created apart from Adam). Jesus died (He slept) as the Lamb of God at the foundation of the world when there was no human witnesses around to see it. Exactly as there were no human beings on the earth to witness Adam's deep sleep. At that point Christ died (slept) and through His death the sins of all the elect people predestinated to salvation were paid for and thus they were formed as the bride of Christ, though as yet there was none of them:

Psalm 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

It's clear that in the case of Adam's deep sleep, the clearest picture is drawn of events that took place at the foundation of the world.
