Some dismiss the idea that Jesus could have had a body at the foundation of the world because He was not born of human parents. They disregard the idea of God simply providing a body for Him.

Hmmmmmm?

Does that also mean that Adam didn't have a body?

Adam was not born of a mother and father. His body was made by God.

Jesus is the second Adam. Why could not Jesus likewise receive a body made by God at the foundation of the world? And why wouldn't that body be just as human as Adam's?

If Adam became a human being without the need of parents and coming forth as a baby out of the womb of his mother. Then that means that it is certainly possible for God to equip Jesus with a very real and very human body at the foundation of the world. There would have been no need for Him to be born of a human mother to receive a human nature.

Here's Adam's beginning:

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

It is false to believe that there was an absolute necessity for Jesus to be born of the virgin Mary in order for Him to receive a human nature.

If it were true that human nature comes only through being conceived in the womb and born of another human, then that would mean that Adam was not human because he was not conceived in a womb and born of a woman.

And since we all come from Adam, if he was not human none of us would be human.

Therefore, humanity is not simply a result of conception in the womb and birth from a mother into the world. It is more than this.

To be a human being is something that God does through His creative power. God made Adam a human being and did not do so through conception or through birth to a mother. God made

Adam a human being simply by speaking and bringing him into existence.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,...

Since the above verse tells us that Jesus was bearing sins, we know that it must be referring to the foundation of the world (see Revelation 13:8). At that point in eternity past, Jesus Christ had a body, a human body. One that was made for Him specifically to bear the sins of His elect people. It was a human body.
