Intervals of Time from the Flood

By Chris McCann

According to the Biblical calendar of history, the flood in Noah’s day took place in the year 4990 BC. If we mark periods of time at 1,000 year intervals we find:

3990 BC = 1,000 years from the flood
2990 BC = 2,000 years from the flood
1990 BC = 3,000 years from the flood
990 BC  = 4,000 years from the flood
11 AD     = 5,000 years from the flood
1011 AD = 6,000 years from the flood
2011 AD = 7,000 years from the flood

The Bible often uses the number 23 as a modifying number to signal tribulation that comes prior to a major event. For example, from creation (11,013 BC) to the flood (4990 BC) was a period of 6,023 years. Let’s see what we find once we add this modifying number to the thousand year intervals from the flood:

3967 BC = 1,023 years from the flood
2967 BC = 2,023 years from the flood
1967 BC = 3,023 years from the flood ****Esau 40 yrs. old fails testing program
967 BC   = 4,023 years from the flood ****Foundation of Solomon’s temple laid
33 AD     = 5,023 years from the flood ****Christ hangs on the cross (Note: cal. yrs)
1033 AD = 6,023 years from the flood
2033 AD = 7,023 years from the flood ****Bible evidence points to end (Note: cal yrs)

From the list above we find that some extremely major events have happened at thousand year intervals from the flood, once the modifying number of 23 is attached.
