Numbers 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

In severe testing, as the heat of the sun beats down upon him day after day, man is prone to exaggerate the littlest good of the things he left behind while minimizing the bad.
Like a mirage in the desert Egypt became the focal point of their desire, despite the fact that it was a place of horrible bondage. Cruel task masters resided there demanding a daily tale of bricks.
No matter how difficult and truly grievous THE WAY (John 14:6 "I AM the way) before them was, the truth was, that going back was not a feasible plan to escape their difficulties.
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Yes the church had wonderful fellowship of coffee and sandwiches after the service. Oh, how good it was to spend some time chatting with friends in the fellowship hall each week. All was enjoyable.
Yes indeed, church was just wonderful. As long as you forget the erroneous doctrine. The false gospels. The lip service paid to the Bible. And as long as you forget that God loosed Satan to rule there. And that the Holy Spirit of God departed out of the midst of every church in the world. And as long as you forget the fact that by simply being there, you are in open rebellion against the law of God that commanded all His people to depart out.
Luke 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
