The Bible is the Great Equalizer of Mankind

The world divides people, categorizes them, places them in various groups (race, ethnic heritage, age, sex, etc, etc). Then it wonders why there is so much division in its societies.

The Bible is the great equalizer. First of all it tells us that we are all made in the image of God (all races, ethnic groups, can trace their heritage back to Adam). Therefore, due to our creation as a creature made in the image of God all people are equal in God's sight. God is no respecter of persons.

Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

Secondly, the Bible is the great equalizer because it tells us that all men have sinned and that none are righteous, no, not one. Every human being has equally offended God and as a result came under the wrath of God. The rich are not exempt. The poor are not exempt. All mankind is viewed by God in exactly the same way--as desperately wicked:

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
