Whose Faith Justifies?

By Chris McCann

Whose blood justifies us?

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We are justified by His blood. Deceitful men haven't quite yet figured out how to work their own blood into the justification process.

Whose grace justifies us?

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

We are justified by His grace. Deceitful men haven't quite yet figured out how to make grace flow forth from themselves to themselves.

Whose faith justifies us?

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

In this verse it simply says "faith" and not "His faith", and so deceitful men see an opportunity and hijack the word faith and apply it to themselves. They say that man is justified by man's own faith.

Yet, that was nothing but a trap set by God to catch those that wanted to pervert the pure gospel of grace by adding an element of their own works (their own faith) to it.

Obviously, since we're justified by Christ's blood, and justified by Christ's grace, we're also justified by Christ's faith (Galatians 2:16).

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

The just shall live by HIS FAITH! None live by their own.
